Khadi


A fabric entirely handspun and hand-woven.
It can be silk cotton or wool, it is produced all over rural India. It is also an activity supported by the Indian government with the KVIC -Khadi & Village Industries Commission- which also promotes its sale in the shops present in every large or small city, the Khadi Grahmodyog Bandhar or Gandhi Ashram. The khadi is the symbol of the Independence of India, which Gandhi also wore and encouraged to use as a uniform. Symbol of the productive capacity and self-sufficiency of the Indian people. No other country in the world has such a phenomenon. Khadi fabrics are masterpieces of textile art and pleasant and healthy for the skin. The Khadi is a heritage of all humanity.
